We took a chance and removed the front of Evelyn's crib this weekend. The first nap was rough, because she obviously kept getting up and playing, but after 3 hours, she figured it out. Since then, she's slept peacefully and we haven't had any 3 am cries because she can't get to her pacifier (which she threw out of the bed). I imagine she just gets up and gets it herself, if she wakes up at all.
We've been talking about transforming the guest room into a "big girl" room for her once the weather gets warn enough for painting and what not. So that will be exciting:) Once she is settled into her new room, we'll have plenty of time to finish painting the nursery-- the ceiling, trim, and closet still need a coat of white paint. We never got to it before she came along. So we have some big projects lined up for spring. I also found "plans" for a sand box with a lid that folds up into benches that I want Tim to build ;)
