We picked up some apple butter bbq sauce in the market on our way out and made BBQ chicken wings for dinner. They were very good. The best way we could describe it was that it smelled and tasted like Thanksgiving (what we could smell and taste of it, being congested and all). :P

Evelyn's First Pumpkin Picking
Even though Tim and I both woke up this morning with the beginnings of a nasty head cold, we decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and go let Evelyn pick out her first pumpkin. She was 10 months old last October, so I think we just went and bought our pumpkins at the store. This year, we went to a little farm outside Hershey and went on a hayride, then tromped through the pumpkin patch and actually pulled our pumpkins off the vine ourselves. Usually they're already cut and just...sitting there :P Evelyn even helped pick hers out. There were a couple of small airplanes flying around nearby. One kept flying low over the farm, and Evelyn got a kick out of that. The other one was further away and was doing tricks. Barrel rolls, flips, and loops. They even flew up really high, throttled back on the engine, and did free falls where the plane went end-over-end before leveling out again. So we got a little free air show while we were out in the field.
