Crocheting Break

I feel like I've been crocheting non stop for the last couple of months! So, while I have a break in Etsy orders, I've been working on sewing some Christmas gifts. Sewing-- to give my wrists a break. :P
I saw a pin on Pinterest that suggested the idea of wrapping up new pajamas or slippers, hot chocolate/mugs, and a new movie. That way, little ones who want to open "just one!" before Christmas morning comes have something to open. And then we can enjoy a family movie night.
So, with that in mind, I've been working on making our own pajamas. I found some cotton knit fabric at the Creative Reuse center, but only had about a yard and a half (not enough for adult pants), so I made a pair of shorts for me and a little pair of pants for Evelyn (the material was a little girly to make anything for Tim).

And they both turned out very well:)

They fit and everything! Evelyn looked at me like I'd lost my mind when I tried to measure her. I was even clever and made them long and rolled the hem so I can let them out as she grows:) I'm very excited that these turned out so well. I was nervous after my first attempt at a dress turned out like some kind of abstract-art mu-mu because I measured wrong and forgot to compensate for the fabric being extra stretchy. (Woops). I have to admit--that was a little discouraging. Good to know I can still work a measuring tape.

Anyway, long story short-- Everyone is getting pajamas for Christmas.
