After I returned Max to Mom's house this morning, we took Evelyn down to the Catoctin Zoo for a few hours :)
The weird duck-goose that literally sounded like an old-fashioned car horn when it honked.
This bird said "Hello" to us.
The cockatoos got a little to close for Evelyn's comfort.
She liked the parakeets better. They're smaller.
Some colorful Australian birds.
A monkey and her baby.
This one is already climbing!
Maybe he's teething.
Feeding the koi fish.
Evelyn enjoyed feeding the fish. She giggled when they jumped up to grab the food.
Friendly petting zoo goat.
This happy looking goat actually enjoyed being petted, even after we ran out of ZooFood.
Poor little baby wasn't big enough to get it's head over the fence.
Evelyn enjoyed the lion and tiger. They were sleeping.
Peacocks
Aoudads. Mountain sheep/goat things.
There was a kids play area where we paused for a break. Evelyn had a blast in the little play houses.
"Come in! I'm making SANDwiches"
Peek-a-boo!
Evelyn had a blast feeding the deer, too, but Mom hasn't sent me those pictures yet ;) Evelyn slept on the way back to Mom's, then again on the way home. It was a good day :)
