Well, kind of. We slept in this morning until 10. Which is a major treat with a toddler in the house! We declared today a technology free day and left the TV off and laptops shut. We finally got the library cleaned up this past week, so we got some reading and piano practice in, helped Evie make a mess of her toys, got some cleaning done during her nap, went for a walk after lunch, popped over to Giant for a few things, then spent the evening making new recipes in the kitchen. We made taco filling, put it in tostitos scoop chips, topped it with cheese and baked it for a few minutes. Ta da-- Taco Bites. And then- and I'm really pleased with this- we made our own soft pretzel bites!! I got dough to rise!! Yay! They taste like Auntie Anne's, just a little sweeter. When I gave Evelyn one, she gave an approving "MMMM!!" and did a little happy dance.
So, yeah. A Sunday well spent :)
