Okay. This is one of those moments that really make me feel all grown up. I was EXCITED to buy a truck load of mulch and spread it out around my house. Seriously. I went to a landscaping business, pretended to know what I was talking about, examined all their mulches, and ordered a truckload of their nicest stuff. It's hemlock mulch, which will help control the amount of insects that hang around our house. It's also really good for the plants and weeds hate it, so triple-win. It will also get darker as it ages instead of fading like normal mulch. Nice!

We have a lot of mulch left, but we still have a whole side of the house and a couple more flower beds to mulch, so we're not quite done yet, but it looks a lot better than it did when we started.
