First visit with Daddy at work:)
And after those visits were over, we went and spent the afternoon with Jill, Zach, and Caleb. It was cute to watch the kids interact--Zach wanted to hold Evelyn and Caleb managed to elicit a couple of smiles.
Cousins!
Zach wanted to take Evelyn's picture.
Zach loved "holding" Evelyn, and Caleb very much wanted her to come play with him:)
On Friday, I met with a group of other moms and babies for lunch at the Cracker Barrel in York. We all met on a forum for moms with babies that were due in January, and have been chatting via the internet since last spring. There are moms from all over that participate in the forum--this is just the group (minus one) of us from South-Central PA. I actually went to college with the girl on the far right:) And the girl to the right of me knows some of the people I went to high school with. Small world, right? There are people on that forum from South Korea, Namibia, Paris, Germany, Canada, and all 50 states. Pretty cool:)
This was also Evelyn's first trip to a restaurant. I hadn't even thought twice about it when I said I'd go, but eating out with an infant is not nearly as stressful as I thought it would be. She was awake the whole time, but sat contently in her car seat or in my lap the entire time. And we got lots of nice comments from the waiters and waitresses:)
It feels great to be able to get out of the house again. Although, apparently it means my immune system is shot:P I'm stuck in bed today with some sort of stomach bug and a fever while Tim is on baby duty. Hopefully it'll be a short illness. The good news is that Evelyn is fine. Evidently her immune system is stronger than mine:P
