Today we are 27 weeks along and 2/3 of the way done!
Holy cow, we're in the 3rd trimester! Bean weighs almost 2 lbs and is about 14.5 inches from head to heel. She's about the size of a head of cabbage, and has set herself a little schedule of sleep and awake times. (Unfortunately for us, one of those awake times is at 4 in the morning.) She is also opening and closing her eyes and may even be practicing her sucking reflex on her little fingers. She's developing more brain tissue, and her brain is very active now. Even though her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning (probably with some help) if she were born now. Any rhythmic, repetitive movements can be chalked up to baby hiccups. Each episode only lasts for a few moments.
Only about 13 weeks to go! (Which means there are only 11 weeks 'til Christmas!)
