So. Our sump pump finally caught up on Thursday night. We have the dehumidifier and two fans going to dry it out, and are planning on applying some Lysol to keep any mold from growing where there is still some dampness. But we now have our basement back:) I'm just waiting until it stops smelling funny to do any laundry.
Tim and I were both able to make it down to Baltimore to visit with Mamaw this week. She had surgery on Friday morning and was in the hospital all day Saturday. I just got a call from Mom saying that they were giving discharge instructions and sending her home this afternoon! Hooray!! It's been a long couple of weeks...but everything is looking up from here:) We're planning on going back on Friday once she's had a few days to settle back in at home.
We both slept in this morning, then went to the Etown Diner to see if they could stand up to the claim that they were the home of home cooking. We sincerely doubted it once we saw a sign in the parking lot indicating that the diner used to be a Hardees. The Lincoln Diner in Gettysburg definitely has them beat. And, as far as I'm concerned, home cooking was invented in Kentucky.
Since we got back, Tim has cleaned the shop-vac Papaw gave us and worked on getting the garage cleared out so we can actually park our cars in it again. The paint on his hood is bubbling and chipping now, and the only reason we can think of is that it didn't like all the rain. So, before any more hurricanes hit, we want to be able to get the cars in the garage:P
We took a short walk down the stream earlier (out of curiosity to see where it goes), but didn't get very far. The stream bed is still very loose, so it was hard to walk. The water felt nice, though:)

| Getting ready to play in the water. |

| Shop-vac all cleaned and set out to dry (along with some trashcans). |
 |
| Downstream from the campsite. |
 |
| It's still a little deep. |
 |
| I found some nice rocks to stand on:) The water felt nice. |
I think, now that the sun has come out, I'm going to go rest on the couch for awhile and soak up some vitamin d:) Tim's hoping to make a campfire tonight so we can make more s'mores:) Have to get rested up for that!
