On a whim yesterday I decided to try the Ring Test, since it's the most popular of the old wives' tales. The idea is that you can hang your wedding ring or a sewing needle on a piece of string or hair and hold it over your stomach or your wrist, and the way the ring or needle swings should tell you if you're having a boy or a girl. If the ring swings side to side, it's a boy. If it swings in circles, it's a girl.
Results:
Ring over Wrist: BOY
Ring over Belly: BOY
Guess we'll find out in 9 weeks who is correct--Mom or the Wives' tales:P
