12 Weeks!

Today we are 12 weeks along!

Bean is now over 2 inches long (roughly the size of a plum) and is working hard on developing reflexes this week. Fingers will begin to open and close, toes will flex and curl, muscles around the eyes will contract, and Bean will begin making suck-swallow motions with his/her mouth. He/she will begin reacting to outside stimuli, such as a poke to the abdomen. Nerve cells are multiplying rapidly and Bean is forming lots of synapses in his/her brain.
