So, while we got a lot of research done yesterday, we spent the evening worrying about how we're going to pay so much for insurance. COBRA through my employer is going to cost $1570 per month. The PPO from Tim's employer is $1400 and the HMO is $1100. On top of the waves of nausea, feeling tired and/or hungry all the time, and generally feeling sore, I was to tears over this last night. All I could think of all evening was how were we going to pay for the mortgage, insurance, AND accumulate all the stuff we need to have for a kid:-x This morning I felt a little silly since I know we can do this...we just have to reallocate some funds, stick around here a little longer, and adjust our expectations. Or stay put until next Spring. It feels like every time we turn a corner, there's a new obstacle to climb over.
The Realtor did send us 7 new listings last night. We chose 3 and sent her a list of 5 total we'd like to look at on Sunday. They were all nice size houses on lots that were at least a half acre. After we go check everything out, I'll post some pictures of any winners. There's a little red brick Cape Cod in Elizabethtown that has my attention...someone re-did the kitchen recently and it has a master SUITE. Which means I could have a bathroom that I don't have to share with the kids:P And the yard is already fenced in and ready for toddlers and puppies:P
Tim also made some calls this afternoon and sorted out our lease for the next couple of months. Looks like we'll be on a month-to-month until we're ready to move. We still have to give them 60 days notice before leaving, though, which is silly if you're on a month-to-month lease (in my opinion).
Looks like we'll be re-adjusting our budget this weekend.
