Farm Show!

Evelyn and I headed to the Farm Show with Emily H and Olivia this morning. None of us had been to the Farm Show before, so we weren't sure what to expect. What we found were whole convention halls full of every kind of cow, goat, horse, rabbit, chicken, duck, turkey, goose, and piece of farm equipment you could think of. And a LOT of people, even for a Thursday morning. It was pretty crowded when we got there, and only got worse the longer we stayed. But we did enjoy our famous milkshakes and a soft pretzel before the crowd got too thick for us.

Checking out the rabbits

"Bunny! Bunny! Bunny!"

The biggest chicken I've ever seen. It was the size of a turkey.

It was too crowded to let anyone out of the stroller :-/

The famous butter sculpture

Evelyn really enjoyed the dancing cows

That's a lot of butter.

The Hollabaughs' roadside stand display won first place.

So we had a really good morning, but the lines were too long at all the food stands to stay for lunch. So we had lunch at home.

Maybe you saw these sticking out of Evelyn's boots in the other pictures:

Tim's dad gave me a book of crochet patterns for Christmas that has directions for making some toddler sized clothes out of lighter weight yarn than I'm used to. So I used sock yarn and a teeny hook to make these little leg warmers. I think they turned out well, and Evelyn enjoys them. Maybe I'll make an actual pair of socks next.

Goober. Eating a rice cake and watching the birds.

I think it's safe to say she has brown eyes now :)

  1. Wow, I've been waiting to hear that. Two girles with brown eyes are just great in the same family.
