Today we celebrated Evelyn's first birthday:) There were snowflakes everywhere, balloons, hot chocolate, s'mores, sandwiches, punch, little smokies and meatballs, and lots of family! Evelyn was slow to warm to her cake, but made a proper mess of all the icing. She loved seeing and then playing with all of her new toys, and got passed around to all her family.

A note about the Time Capsule:
If you did not get a chance to write Evelyn a note for her Time Capsule, please take time between now and Christmas to write her a note and we will collect them when we are visiting over the holiday. You can also feel free to mail us your note. After Christmas, we will seal up her box and save it for her to open on her 18th birthday.
Thanks to everyone who came, brought food, helped set up or clean up, or just came to enjoy the festivities. We enjoyed seeing everyone and Evelyn of course loved all of the attention:)
