At her belated 9 month appointment this past Friday, she measured in at 29.6 inches tall (93.5%), 20.7 lbs (70.5%), and has an 18.5 inch head (99%). The pediatrician said she's perfect and right on track with her development.
About two weeks ago, she switched from screaming, wriggling, and scooting to get around to crawling. Just a few feet at first. But the next thing we knew, she was crawling cheerfully through the kitchen and getting into all the things we hadn't cleaned or baby-proofed. We now have clamps on the handles of some of the cabinet doors. And I washed the trash can so she doesn't get the black death if she ever decides to lick it (again). I even put those covers on the doorknobs that make them nearly impossible to work so we can get used to...working...them.
Her favorite toys are currently a little egg pan and a red solo cup. She is also fascinated with power cords.
She has two teeth now, which took forever to cut through. And she decided to cut them while we were trying to get ready for Daniel and Emily's wedding, so she was extra fussy (but was a total angel the day of the wedding).
She gets more tastes of real food now. She gets puffs and yogurt bites as snacks, and she's had cereal, apple, carrot, and (don't judge) small amounts of Rita's. She has some meat purees (ugh) lined up for dinner in the near future.
Her personality seems to be come out more and more every day. She makes all kinds of faces, is very vocal, and added some new sounds to her repertoire.
And I'll leave you with this little outtake from our pictures earlier:)
