| Happy 4th of July! Evelyn is now 7 months old, although we didn't have a doctor appointment this month to check her height/weight/head circumference. According to our scale, she weighs 18 lbs, which is no big surprise, since she eats so much now. When she takes a bottle, she gets 7-8oz unless she's had cereal or a pureed fruit/vegetable. Then she gets 6-5oz. We are still in the process of introducing her to solids, but she likes squash, sweet potatoes, and apples. |
She is sleeping very well now, which is nice. We are able to fold up the Rock-n-Play and pack up the bouncer, since she's sleeping flat in her crib or her Pack-n-Play for naps, as well as at night. We put her down with a pacifier and a blanket and she usually does the rest of the work herself, and only wakes a few times at night. Even then, it just takes a little soothing for her to fall back to sleep.
As you can see, she is now sitting unsupported:) She likes to sit on the floor and play with her toys. She will also lean forward or backward until she's laying down, then roll or scoot to get to things. This is great, except she tends to scream while she's moving around on the floor:P We're hoping she can pull her hands out of her mouth long enough to start crawling soon.
She is getting very big. It's more of a chore to carry her around in her car seat now, so we'll probably be moving up to a big girl car seat soon. She's into her 6-9 month clothes now, but, if she keeps growing as fast as she has been, she'll be in 12 month clothes by mid-August! She outgrew the size 2 diapers so fast that I now have to find a home for a decent stack of them. Luckily, the size 3 diapers have a pretty big weight range, so we should be sticking to those for awhile. Evelyn is doing very well, and we're amazed all the time at how fast she learns:)
