Short Update

Liz and Greg came to visit on Saturday:) Evelyn had some awake time and was studying people's faces.

Still no eye color--will probably have to wait until she's almost term to find out what color they'll be.

Now that her IV is out, she has a habit of folding her hands under her chin when she sleeps:P

Tim's first time feeding a baby:) He did pretty well.

Decorated the tree on Sunday/Monday evenings. Planning on getting Evelyn a special ornament and waiting to add it when she comes home. The house is getting more festive, but we're SO far behind on Christmas shopping:-/

We're still working on oral feedings with Evelyn. She's taking most of her food by mouth, but occasionally needs the tube to supplement her feedings with fortified milk to help her gain some weight. She has been maintaining her own body temperature, so as long as her weight went up today and her temps stay high enough, she'll be moved from the incubator to a bassinet overnight tonight. Yay! We had been hopeful that she'd have the feeding tube taken out last night, but not yet:-/ Otherwise she is doing very well:) She makes a little progress every day, and the nurses seem confident that she'll be home sooner rather than later, which is encouraging. Fingers crossed/thoughts/prayers appreciated that she keeps gaining weight and can come home soon!
