Day 2

I had good BP readings all night last night:) And this morning, we talked to a doctor who asked us when we were going home. We told him we didn't know, since no one seemed sure how long to keep us. He told us that the doctor in charge would be in around 7:30 to talk to us, and we should plead our case with him. He did point out that people in my situation do tend to stay on hospital bed rest until baby is delivered. And I guess if I did get sent home, I would still be coming into the OB's office or labor and delivery for tests and monitoring constantly, leaving open the chances of my being re-admitted for some reason or another.

The good news is that they have a community room where we can have our shower here at the hospital. I just have to find out if we'll still be here or not. If we do get sent home, we can have it at our house (since I'd likely be on bed rest even at home).

I still have an IV in, which is super annoying. They haven't done anything with it since I got here except flush it a couple times a day to keep it clean. But I guess it's just a reminder that someone in charge believes that something could go wrong at any moment, and that's what bugs me about it (besides the itchiness and the restricted movement in that wrist).

Mom, Mamaw, Pam, Bob, Frank, and Grace came to visit today for a couple of hours. The nurse came in to check some vitals and listen to baby's heartbeat while they were here, so they all got to hear Bean's heartbeat on the doppler:) Daniel and Emily are planning on coming tomorrow morning, followed by Matt & Susie, then Tim's parents.

Next week we have several tests set up:
Labs and Monitoring on Monday.
Free on Tuesday.
An ultrasound on Wednesday.
More monitoring on Thursday.
Free on Friday.

And that's all we have in terms of news for now. I'll post again tomorrow--maybe that doctor that never came around will be in to see us in the morning:P
