32 Weeks!!

Today we are 32 weeks along!!

By now, baby weighs about 3.75 lbs and is almost 17 inches long from head to foot. Think a large jicama (which just looks like a big potato to me). Mama is gaining about a pound per week, and about half of that goes straight to baby. She'll gain about 1/3-1/2 of her birth-weight in the next 7 weeks as she bulks up in preparation for life out in the world:)

We had another appointment yesterday at MFM (maternal-fetal medicine). I tried laying on my side during the non-stress test to get my blood pressure down, but we couldn't get a good read on Bean's heartbeat that way, so I had to lay on my back. They took my pressure once, and it was 144/100. But Bean passed the non-stress test with flying colors, and they were happy with the measurements from last week's ultrasound. But, just to be safe, they sent us over to labor and delivery for a couple of hours of monitoring. I was a little worried that "a couple hours of monitoring" would turn into an admission again. But the doctors on duty last night didn't seem nearly as concerned as the ones who jumped to admit me after 1 hour of monitoring last time. They took more blood for labs, which all came back fine. And, once my BP leveled out, they sent us home, which was a huge relief. It's just getting frustrating to spend half the day at the hospital every time we go for a checkup:( And, of course, we've now been told I'm not allowed to go to any of our childbirth classes, so Tim has to either go alone, or we have to get the instructors to make other arrangements for us, whatever that means :-/

8 weeks until our due date, 2 weeks until 34 weeks, and 5 weeks until 37.
