Taco Pizza and Consignment Sales

Well--I did spend the better part of yesterday on the registry, but it's still not done:-x You wouldn't believe all the stuff there is to sort through!
I had cravings for tacos and pizza, and Tim wanted to go to the hardware store, so we stopped at a place called Sal's (think Mama's in Biglerville, but busier), and they actually had TACO PIZZA on their menu! So we got a small one (just in case it wasn't so great), but it was actually pretty good:) We thought it could have used a little more kick (maybe some peppers or something?), but enjoyed it otherwise.

Today, we got up early and headed up to see Jer and Jill and the boys:) Tim helped Jeremy get a playset disassembled, moved, and re-assembled while Jill and I went to a consignment sale nearby. I got 10 outfits for Bean and some new shirts for me for about $60...I probably would have spent $200-250 in a department store:) We stopped at Boston Market on the way back and got lunch for everyone, so it was a good trip:)

This is what happens when 2 year olds decide what to wear:P

On baby duty

Finished play set, ready to go.

Silly baby, that can't be comfy.

A pile of clothes for Bean:)
Tim was actually able to do some mowing this evening when we got home, which meant Jack was cowering in the back corner of the shed, despite the fact that the door was wide open. :P

We noticed recently that my car has been making weird noises again--the engine sounds like it's working too hard for what it's being asked to do. Tim found a hose that had come unhooked, and that helped, but didn't fix the issue. The car is due to have the timing belt replaced, which isn't something that Tim can do, so we need to take it to the shop this week--maybe while they have it in, they'll be able to figure out what's making the engine whine as well. I'll tell ya--we're not looking forward to getting that bill. But it's better than having the engine explode entirely and having to get a new car:-x

I still haven't gotten my COBRA paperwork, but the county did send info on rolling over my pension savings into an IRA, so I'll have to look into actually opening an IRA in the next week or so. Exciting stuff. AND I'll have to call the county again on Monday to shout at them again. The COBRA stuff was supposed to be over-nighted to us. Have to check and see what the hold-up is.

Well, we have a busy day of paying bills and getting caught up on chores tomorrow, so I better get to bed. Until next time:)

  1. Stop calling her Bean. Sounds like a fun, busy weekend.

  2. I shall call her Bean until she has a name:) So...approximately 2 seconds after she's born.
