Moving Day

Yesterday was the big day! We got up *fairly* early, got some Dunkin Donuts coffee and munchkins, and set to work. We loaded up my car with all our wall hangings, some boxes, clothes, and the cat (and all his supplies), and then I headed to the house ahead of everyone else. I got the cat settled into the basement, which, in retrospect, might have been a bad plan. He's so touchy and on-edge that I have no idea how we'll get him out of the basement once we're ready for him to be outside. Jill, Zach, and Caleb met me at the house, followed by Pam, Bob, and Frank, then Mom. We off-loaded the car, checked in with Tim, and then had lunch.
Tim, Dan, Emily, Dave, Fran, Nate, and Jer loaded everything up in Philly, and then hit the road, albeit 3 hours later than Tim had wanted to:P

Tim was the first to arrive...with that awesome stack of mattresses and couches on the back of his little truck:-x

Nate was next with the trailer.

Then Dan and Emily, followed by Jer in the Firebird (which I neglected to take a picture of).
And since the group from Philly hadn't eaten a meal (probably since breakfast), we all sat down and had pizza and cookie cake as an early dinner. I had to wear the birthday hat:-x I opened the rest of my birthday/housewarming presents, then we all got to work spreading out the furniture and boxes to the rooms where they belonged so Tim and I could get to unpacking.
Oh, birthday hat.

Frank after all the work was done.

Zach picking "flowers"

Baby Caleb resting in the carrier.

Frank made a new friend:P

Following Daddy around.

Hanging out with Uncle Tim. ("CHEESE")
Everyone was exhausted when all was said and done, and it took us awhile to dig out what we needed to get ready for bed, but we made do.

This morning, we started unpacking the living room/kitchen, got the dining room set up, and made a dent in the office and bedroom before we crashed in front of the tv for a couple hours of rest:P We tried to tame the cat a couple of times...he meows at the top of the stairs, then hunches down and hides unless we bribe him with treats:P We tried to bring him up to show him the yard, but he did a bobcat impression on Tim's hand. So we're just going to leave him down there until he chills out enough to come up the stairs without freaking out. Our other option is to just open the window, take out the screen, and hope he finds his own way out before a raccoon or a snake finds its way in and we have to call animal control :P (A touch of the dramatic brought to you by exhaustion and hormones!)

Alright...break's over! Bean is doing lots of kicking, so I'm going to go unpack some more boxes so she'll stop treating my bladder like a trampoline:P
