19 Weeks!!

Today we are 19 weeks along, and only 1 week away from being half-done!

Bean now weighs about 8.5 oz and is about 6 inches long; roughly the size of a mango. S/he is beginning to sprout hair on his/her scalp and is entering a crucial phase for sensory development. Bean is working on designating specific areas of the brain for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. His/her hearing is improving, and s/he may be able to pick up sounds from outside now (but could hear my voice as early as 16 weeks). Arms and legs are now in proportion to each other and the rest of the body, and Bean is kicking away:)

 

 

Only 21 weeks to go:) Anatomy Scan is still scheduled for the 25th :D
