Today we are 17 weeks along!!
Bean's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to solid bones beginning this week. S/he is about 5 oz and 5 inches long (about the size of a large onion or turnip). S/he can move all his/her joints and is developing sweat glands now. Bean is now gaining some of that cute baby fat, and now has one-of-a-kind prints on his/her little fingers and toes:)

Only 23 weeks to go!!
I went in for my monthly appointment today. Doctor said everything looks good. I've only gained about 4 lbs total so far, blood pressure is still good, and Bean's heart rate is a strong 150. I'm happy to report I can now feel little flutters and pokes occasionally, and Doctor said that should get more consistent over the next couple of weeks. And in terms of symptoms, I'm getting headaches and occasional bouts of dizziness, which I've been reassured are totally normal. I've got a green light for painting (as long as the room is well-ventilated and the fumes don't give me a headache) and for helping move (as long as I'm not straining over anything heavy).
The anatomy scan is on the 25th, and our last appointment here before the move is on the 30th--then we'll be transferring to a doctor in Hershey.
So that's the update for now:)
