Welcome, Caleb Michael!!

Our newest nephew was born yesterday morning (7/25/11) at about 6:30am :) I don't have any pictures to share yet, but will post one as soon as I do. The early report is that he came out wailing and has been eating 1.5-2.5 oz at each feeding--a little piggy:P The picture Jer showed us when he got back from the hospital was adorable. He looks a lot like Zach did, only his head is much rounder:P

We got a phone call from Jill around 3am and headed for their house. I think we were on the road by 3:20. About 10 minutes down the road, we got re-routed to the hospital. We pulled into the hospital parking lot about 30 seconds after Jer and Jill did. We gave Jer my car keys, wished them luck, and took Zach back to their house, where we were hoping he would go back to sleep. But he didn't--Uncle Tim and Aunt Jessie are here, so it must be playtime! We put in a Wonder Pets DVD and chilled in the living room. At about 5:15, we got a text from Jill that the baby was coming and surgery would be done within the next 2 hours. Jer called around 8am and reported that Caleb was here and everyone was recovering. He also told us that Zach had a session with his speech therapist at 10:30, and that he would be back for it.
Zach got progressively grumpier as the morning went on, and was not in the mood for a therapy session! But at least he went down for a nap with no problem after it was over. We had lunch with Jer, then sent him back to the hospital. I grabbed a nap and Tim got some work done, then we woke Zach up from his nap so he would (hopefully) go to bed at a normal time.

He woke up in a much better mood and had lunch with his new favorite person:P And about 10 minutes after this picture, a storm hit and knocked the power out:P So we went out in the sunroom for more light. And played with legos...

And got some rough-housing in with Uncle Tim...

So...all-in-all, we spent about 14 hours with Zach and it went pretty well. Jer came back around 4 so we could go home and get some things ready for Wednesday, and Jill's parents were on their way and expected to arrive around 6pm to lend a hand. So everything went pretty smoothly:)
