So last night we put an offer in on the 1370 S Mt Joy St property. $219,000 with a $5,000 seller assist. And they came back this morning and counter offered with $224,000 without the seller assist or $229,000 with the seller assist. They also relinquished the refrigerator, which is sweet because that thing fits where it is perfectly and it's practically brand new. Tim wanted to make a move for the lawn mower, but I told him it wasn't worth it and that I'd rather choose our own since we don't know what condition theirs is in. So we accepted their counter offer for $224,000. Which is $11,000 under asking price and $36,000 less than the original list price. We've signed and initialed and are currently waiting for them to do the same:) Exciting! The next couple of months should be fun with fulfilling all the requirements (home inspection, getting our mortgage loan squared away on time, etc etc). Closing should be on July 27th and we're planning to use August for painting and moving all the small stuff. Then in September we might get some family and friends together to move the big stuff and have a pizza party:)
I have to say, though, that I am NOT looking forward to all this packing:-x
