Last week we got a pre-approval squared away from a mortgage broker tied to the real estate agency we're using to find our house:) This week, we made an appointment to actually go and look at some houses:) After driving by the outside and looking at pictures online, it will be nice to see some houses in person. I talked to a realtor on Monday who is going to set up some showings for us on Sunday afternoon.
I also did some research and found out how much it would cost to buy insurance from my employer until Bean arrives. Whew...good insurance is expensive! I also did some research into what is covered, what hospitals in the area we're looking at are in-network, and what practices are tied to those hospitals so that, when we do move, I know where to go right away. (Turns out the closest hospital to Mount Joy is Hershey Medical Center.)
So yes...we're breaking out of our comfort zone and getting some of this stuff done:P
