Eeeeek!

A week ago today, I found out I was pregnant!! I had been hoping this would happen for awhile, but didn't have my heart set on it because, well, we're still living in an apartment and planning on buying a house this summer. We're going to have some upheaval in the next couple of months.
I actually only tested because I thought it would be a nice surprise for the 9th anniversary of our first date (I know, stretching a bit...who still celebrates that after getting married anyway?). I fully expected it to be negative. But when that second line popped up almost immediately, I tested again. And a third time (you know...to make sure the first two weren't broken). And then I went out and got a different kind of test and tested with those as well (just in case the color of the dye had something to do with it:P). I then spent the rest of the day in shock. 
I told Tim when he came home. I gave him a little packet of pacifiers with a note letting him know he was now responsible for getting me mother's day presents (in case he didn't get the hint). 
We then spent the rest of the week trying to figure out how we would make things work with insurance, income, and buying a house. We managed to settle down a little bit and figure out our options. We got a pre-approval squared away and chose a real estate agent, figured out that we could pay for COBRA or go onto Tim's company insurance, but that independent insurance is out of the question until Bean gets here. We're still working on re-formulating plans, but we're getting there.  
The reason I've made this blog is so we can keep everyone up-to-date on our progress (and Bean's) as well as keep a record of the coming months. When all is said and done, I hope to print this into a book for Bean to read when s/he is older-- posts, pictures, comments, and all. :)
